Eurosmart General Assembly

Eurosmart held its General Assembly in Brussels on 24 April 2008. New statutes of the Association were adopted in an Extraordinary General Assembly in order to give Eurosmart the means to reach its ambition of representing the Smart Security Industry. The General Assembly was the opportunity to deliver a White Paper on Smart Security Market Segmentation, and a White Paper on Smart USB Token. Eurosmart 2007-2008 Activity Report will be soon available on Eurosmart website.

Eurosmart at Security Document World 2008 and Identity Loop 2008

Eurosmart will make a presentation entitled “From National ID solutions to pan-European interoperability – The European Citizen Card as the key opportunity”, at 10.45 on the 22nd April. This presentation will be part of the “e-ID Part One - Regulation, Standardisation and Interoperability”.

The Security Document World 2008 and Identity Loop 2008 conference and exhibition will take place on 22-23 April 2008 in London, covering a wide range of security document issues including ePassports, border control techniques, e-ID developments and traditional document security advancements.

Signature of a cooperation agreement with the SCS Cluster

Eurosmart Chairman Jacques Seneca and Secured Communication Solutions Cluster Vice-Chairman Bernard Pruniaux have signed on 21 February a cooperation agreement between both associations. Based in Rousset in the South of France, the SCS Cluster is a worldwide cluster which aims to develop R&D programs and to promote innovation and competitiveness on themes such as identity, security, traceability, connectivity and convergence.

This agreement between Eurosmart and the SCS Cluster aims at fostering the development of common projects and creating synergies between the activities of both partners.
