2005 – Press Conference – 24
May 2005, Paris
 The
organisers of Cartes 2005 held a well-attended
press conference in Paris on 24 May 2005.
Sophie Lubet, General Commissioner
of CARTES Exhibition, presented
the specificities that will emphasize the
20th Anniversary of the event.
As for past years, EUROSMART will
be the official sponsor of CARTES 2005,
and will hold its Press Conference on 15
November after the World Card Summit. Olivier
Piou, Chairman of the Association,
will introduce the Sesames awards. The Association
booth will deliver information on the main
activities of the organisation and display
a video of 10th anniversary event.
 Arnaud
Roy, Conferences Manager, also
led a round table on “New stakes for
Smart Card and identification: How far could
the dematerialisation go ?” with nine
professionals from the Smart Card industry
and the public authorities. After a general
overview from M. Grissonnanche (Exense)
on what is dematerialisation, the participants
discussed the assets of dematerialisation
and highlighted its implications for different
applications (transport, payments, passports,
administration,…). |

society attended Eurosmart 10th anniverary
event in Brussels on 20 April 2005. "Eurosmart
