Vision Paper 2020

The “Vision Paper 2020” of Eurosmart presents the vision of experts on how the Smart Security technology will look like in 2020, including market trends and future applications. While it is the role of governments to answer the sensitive question of finding the balance between security and privacy for society, it is our responsibility as an industry to explain the characteristics and the benefits of the smart secure technology to the general public. The first presentation of the Vision Paper was given to representatives of the European Commission in April 2007 in Brussels. The document was then promoted throughout the year and in particular by Eurosmart Chairman in his opening speech at Smart event and Cartes in France, and Omnicard in Berlin, in order to reach the largest possible audience but also to confront this view with different inputs.
