The Commission launches today a public consultation on how to best set up a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on cybersecurity.
The PPP on cybersecurity will be launched in the course of 2016. Together with the recent political agreement on the first EU-wide cybersecurity rules, they are part of the Digital Single Market strategy which aims to build trust and confience in the online environment.
Through this consultation, the Commission seeks views on cybersecurity risks and threats that people and businesses in Europe are facing, cybersecurity market conditions, potential technical priorities for the PPP on research and innovation and other possible supporting measures for the industry.
The scope of the questionnaire also covers cybersecurity standardisation issues, seeking to complement the consultation on the elaboration of the Priority ICT Standards Plan. The consultation will run until 11 March 2016.
