The Vice-President of the EU Commission Is Against Backdoor

The Vice-President for the Digital Single Market, Andrus Ansip, stated that he was against any backdoor to encrypted systems.

In an interview relating the Apple decision to refuse unblocking the iPhone of a terrorist, Andrus Ansip had clear words to recall that identification systems should be based on strong encryption. With backdoors, user's will not rely on digital identities anymore.
