Horizon 2020: €1 billion for the European Green Deal call
The European Commission launched a European Green Deal call on 17 September. This call is the last and the biggest call under the funding programme Horizon 2020. It has a total budget of one billion euros. Eight thematic areas were selected:
- Increasing climate ambition
- Clean, affordable and secure energy
- Industry for a clean and circular economy
- Energy and resource efficient buildings
- Sustainable and smart mobility
- Farm to fork
- Biodiversity and ecosystems
- Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments
Deadline for submissions: 26 January 2021. Selected projects are expected to start in autumn 2021.
