Data Governance Act : the Commission receives feedback

The Commission recently proposed a Data Governance Act and has opened a feedback period for this proposal. This means that interested stakeholders can express their views on the text. Please find below the link to the page where feedback can be submitted.

The feedback period is open until 27 January 2021.

Background

The proposed legislation covers different situations of data sharing:

-Sharing of data among businesses, against remuneration in any form;

-Making public sector data available for re-use, in situations where such data is subject to rights of others;

-Allowing the use of personal data with the help of a personal data sharing intermediary, designed to help individuals exercise their rights under GDPR;

-Allowing data use on altruistic grounds.
