Call for experts: Payment System Market Experts Group
The European Commission recently published a call for experts for its Payment Market Experts Group (PSMEG).
The PSMEG has been in existence for 10 years with the same composition. However, the payment landscape has considerably changed during this decade, therefore the Commission wants to renew the membership of the group.
Among other things, the PSMEG has advised the Commission on PSD2, including strong authentication.
The tasks of the group are:
- to assist the Commission in the preparation of legislative acts or policy initiatives regarding payment systems, including fraud prevention issues related to the payment industry and users;
- to provide insight concerning the practical implementation of that policy;
- to exchange views on up-to-date best practices and ensure monitoring of potential issues of concern for the payments market.
Deadline to apply: 19 March 2021.
