5G certification: ENISA launches call for experts
Today [7 June], ENISA launches a call for expert with the purpose of creating an Ad Hoc Working Group on 5G cybersecurity certification. This call follows the request from the European Commission to prepare a new candidate certification scheme on 5G.
Among other things, the Ad Hoc Working Group will explore the possibility to re-use the EU Common Criteria and EU Cloud Services schemes. Existing 5G schemes (GSMA NESAS, GSMA SAS-SM and SAS-UP, GSMA eUICC) will also feed into the EU scheme. The Ad Hoc Working Group will support ENISA in performing a gap analysis.
