Commissioner Thierry Breton to visit Samsung manufacturing line
Following his trip to Japan (see the previous briefing here), EU Commissioner Thierry Breton will visit South Korea. He will discuss the upcoming European Chips Act.
On Thursday, Thierry Breton will meet the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, as well as the Minister of Science. The Commissioner will also visit a Samsung manufacturing line in Pyeongtaek. This line produces high-end chips of 5 nanometres. On Friday, Thierry Breton will meet with Seok-hee Lee, CEO and President of SK Hynix, one of the world’s largest semiconductor companies, as well as the Minister of Trade.
