Horizon Europe calls: ICT standardisation

Yesterday [12 October], the European Commission released two series of Horizon Europe calls. One specific call for proposals focuses on ā€œleveraging standardisation in Digital Technologiesā€. The objective is to connect European stakeholder ecosystems with European and international standardisation bodies.

A few projects will be selected and contribute to the following outcomes:

-Engagement of required stakeholders and experts to ensure lasting impact;

-Increase the influence of Europe into ICT standardisation, ensuring promotion of European requirements, values and interests;

-Set-up of a facility to support participation of European specialists in international ICT Standard Developing Organisations and global fora and consortia;

-Increase the participation of European specialists in international ICT Standardisation activities to support European values and interests, including in leadership positions;

-Synergies with other similar initiatives or European players including from EU (and national) funded R&I projects;

-Increase awareness and education on sustainability and ICT standardisation;

-Support standardisation meetings in Europe, so that European players have easier conditions for participation.
