Upcoming Digital Europe calls: eIDAS, cybersecurity, AI

The European Commission published the upcoming calls for proposal in the framework of the Digital Europe funding programme. Interestingly, the future calls relating to eIDAS (Wallet pilots, EBSI, blockchain standardisation) are among these calls.

These are all calls for proposals (grants). The future call for tender for the European Digital Identity Wallet prototype has not been published yet.

Please find below the list of relevant calls with the corresponding links:

-Support to the implementation of the European Digital Identity Framework [Wallet pilots] and the implementation of the Once Only System under the Single Digital Gateway Regulation (budget: 37 million euros)

-EBSI – Deployment of services (budget: 15 million euros)

-Blockchain Standardisation (budget: 1 million euros)

-Support to cybersecurity in the health sector

-Deploying the Network of National Coordination Centres with Member States

-Testing and experimentation Facility for smart cities and communities

-Data space for security and law enforcement

-Security (law enforcement): AI-based pilot

-Public Sector Open Data for AI and Open Data Platform

Next steps:

The calls for proposals will open on 22 February. The deadline to answer is set to 17 May 2022.
