Commission receives feedback on the space-based secure connectivity initiative
Last month, the European Commission published a set of new documents on defence and space (see previous briefing here). One of these documents is a proposal for a regulation establishing the Union Secure Connectivity Programme.
The Programme will develop, build and operate a multiorbital connectivity infrastructure. It will contribute to Europe’s cyber-resilience, notably by integrating the space segment of the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure.
The European Commission is currently gathering feedback on this initiative. The deadline to give feedback is 12 May 2022.
