New EU office in San Francisco to strengthen digital diplomacy
Today [1 September], the EU opens a new office in San Francisco, California. This office aims to enhance cooperation with the United States on digital diplomacy, including in the field of cybersecurity, hybrid threats and foreign information manipulation and interference.
The EU office will strive to promote EU standards and technologies, as well as digital policies and governance models. It will also advance the work of the EU-US Trade and Technology Council.
This office will reinforce the EU’s capacity to reach out to public and private stakeholders, including the business community.
