DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\neID Wallet Seminar\nOctober 10\, 2024\, Brussels\, Belgium\nFor over 20 years GlobalPlatform technologies have been supporting the Identity ecosystem bringing security to identity cards\, ePassports and other identity documents. \nThe EU has recently mandated the deployment of a EUDI Wallet as part of the eIDAS 2.0 regulation\, giving a clear step towards the introduction of a cross-border interoperable digital identity scheme for all citizens across EU member states starting on 2026. To secure the EUDI Wallet framework\, the EU has mandated the use of a tamper resistant secure element (SE) highlighting the need to maintain a high level of assurance for the European digital wallets. \nGlobalPlatform has continued to optimize its secure element specifications and developing new technologies to support the deployment of the EUDI scheme – e.g. Secure Application on Mobile\, Cryptographic Service Provider. This will enable member states to deploy their digital identity schemes utilizing existing technologies in secure elements that are available in billions of mobile devices. \nFollowing on a very successful event in 2023\, GlobalPlatform is bringing the second edition of its eID Wallet Seminar to Brussels on 10th October 2024.
