26 May 2026 Eurosmart Announces Newly Elected Board Members and Strategic Priorities for 2026-2027
Brussels, 26 May 2026 – Eurosmart, the voice of the cybersecurity industry in Europe, today announced the election and renewal of several members of its Board following the General Assembly held on 18 May 2026.

Newly Elected and Renewed Board Members
The Board continues to benefit from the expertise and long-standing engagement of its senior permanent members:
- IN Groupe – Alban Feraud
- Thales – Philippe Proust
- Infineon – Sébastien Colle
- STMicroelectronics – Olivier Van Nieuwenhuyze
- NXP Semiconductors – Thomas Billeau
For the rotating seats, the General Assembly renewed the mandates of
- Qualcomm – Anne-Lise Thiblemont
- Internet of Trust – Claire Loiseaux
Eurosmart also welcomes a new Board member:
- Clever Cloud – Axel Laniez
A Board Reflecting Europe’s Cybersecurity Value Chain

The Board of Eurosmart embodies the evolution of Europe’s cybersecurity landscape and the growing need for end-to-end security across increasingly interconnected digital infrastructures.
Eurosmart Strategic Plan 2026-2027
In line with this objective, members also approved Eurosmart’s new strategic plan for 2026-2027. The plan reflects the association’s commitment to expanding its scope and strengthening its role as a key platform for collaboration across the European cybersecurity ecosystem, supporting innovation, resilience, certification, and Europe’s technological sovereignty.
Addressing Europe’s Key Cybersecurity Challenges
Eurosmart and its members are actively engaged in addressing some of the most critical cybersecurity challenges currently facing Europe. These include the implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and the development of the related standards, the ongoing evolution of the Cybersecurity Act (CSA) and its impact on the Supply Chain Security Mecanism and critical infrastructures, as well as the implementation of the NIS2 Directive and the discussion its proposed amendments.
The association is also closely involved in ongoing discussions on cloud and AI policy developments, including the proposed Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA), reflecting the growing importance of trusted cloud infrastructures, sovereign digital services, and secure data ecosystems for Europe’s competitiveness and resilience.
In parallel, Eurosmart supports the implementation of the EU Digital Identity Wallet and is monitoring the adoption of the EU Business Wallet initiative alongside the proposed “28th regime” (EU Inc.) framework aimed at facilitating cross-border digital business operations within Europe.
Finally, Eurosmart will carefully scrutinise both the fast growing impact of artificial intelligence technologies on cybersecurity and the cybersecurity of AI systems themselves. These strategic priorities reflect the association’s commitment to ensuring that Europe’s digital ecosystem remains secure, trusted, innovative, and globally competitive.
