02 Jun 2026 Eurosmart Joins the European Commission’s AI Act Advisory Forum

Eurosmart has been selected to join the European Commission’s AI Act Advisory Forum.
Established under Article 67 of the EU AI Act, the Advisory Forum serves as a key advisory body supporting the European Commission and the European AI Board in the implementation and enforcement of the AI Act. The Forum brings together experts from industry, academia, civil society, SMEs, and startups to provide technical expertise and practical guidance on AI governance, standardisation, and implementation challenges.
The Advisory Forum complements the Scientific Panel of independent experts, which advises the European Commission and, upon request, national market surveillance authorities on General-Purpose AI (GPAI).
Eurosmart’s participation reflects our longstanding commitment to shaping trustworthy, innovative, and cybersecure digital technologies in Europe. Eurosmart looks forward to contributing our expertise on secure digital identities, trust services, cybersecurity, and the broader deployment of AI technologies that are safe, transparent, and aligned with European values.
Eurosmart will be represented in the AI Act Advisory Forum by Stéphane Gentric, Chief AI Scientist at IDEMIA. Contributions to the Forum will be coordinated through a dedicated internal Task Force on Artificial Intelligence, bringing together interested Members to contribute to the association’s positions and activities on AI policy and implementation matters.
The Advisory Forum plays an important role in ensuring that the implementation of the AI Act benefits from real-world experience and diverse stakeholder perspectives. Selected from more than 700 applicants, Forum members will support the European Commission and the AI Board through recommendations, technical contributions, and participation in thematic working groups.
